Josh Payne
MBA Intern — Information Technology
|
Josh joined the Aurora team in January 2007 as a Duke Venture Fellow, an
extended venture capital program for MBA students from the The Fuqua School of
Business at Duke University. At Aurora, Josh focuses on investments across the
information technology sector participating in evaluating new investment
opportunities and performing due diligence. Prior to business school, Josh
worked in Silicon Valley for four years at Intel Corp, where he spent his first
two years in a project management role primarily concentrating on identifying
and mitigating inefficiencies within Intel's fab and assembly process. His final
two years were as a Strategic Pricing Manager in the Pricing and Corporate
Strategy division. In this capacity, Josh was directly responsible for
negotiating pricing, deal structure, and profitability terms for Intel's
consumer electronics division closing more than 50+ design wins with global
technology firms such as Toshiba, Sony, and SBC. In addition, he held a position
at Wishy LLC, a social networking start-up based in Santa Monica, CA working as
a business development associate.
Josh graduated with honors in Computer Information Systems and International
Business from Indiana University and is currently obtaining his MBA at Duke
University's Fuqua School of Business where he was recently awarded the Mead and
Faculty Merit Scholarships.
