Validating transactions beyond Types 1 through 7

Columbus, OH, July 22, 2004 – Foresight Corporation, a leading provider of business solutions for healthcare, announces full support of NCPDP within its HIPAA Validator product family to complement its Types 1 through 7 validation support of the HIPAA EDI transactions. NCPDP support includes both versions 1.1 for batch and 5.1 for online pharmacy transactions. Using the same validation process for HIPAA EDI transactions, NCPDP validation includes syntax, symantical, external table edits, and optionally additional payer-specific edits within a single execution pass. The same production flow used in Foresight’s market-leading HIPAA Validator® DeskTop, CommunityManager™ and InStream™ will now protect applications from receiving non-compliant HIPAA EDI/NCPDP data and causing system challenges. It also minimizes partner rejects by filtering all HIPAA EDI/NCPDP production data flowing to partners.
