(Morrisville, N.C.) — Centice Corporation, a pioneer in chemical verification and identification using Raman spectroscopy and computational sensor technology, was awarded nearly $500,000 in qualified investment rebates from the IRS for their two submissions to the Qualifying Therapeutic Discovery Project Program, created by the Affordable Care Act. Credits and grants were available for projects that showed potential to produce new cost-saving therapies, create U.S. jobs, and increase U.S. competitiveness. Centice submitted work for two different projects. The first, for work on the Diagnostic Reader for cardiac biomarkers and the second for work on the company’s drug verification system, PASS Rx®. Applications for investment rebates were evaluated by the Department of Health and Human Services for their potential to produce new therapies, reduce long-term health care costs or cure cancer within 30 years. “We are very excited to have been awarded grants from the IRS for both of the projects for which we applied,” said Scott Albert, CEO. “Our team has worked hard to find new ways to help make a difference in the healthcare industry and we are pleased to receive funding to continue our efforts as we look toward impacting other markets in the future.” About CenticeCentice Corporation creates and delivers advanced technology solutions to select markets in pharmacy operations, healthcare, manufacturing and homeland security.
